Sometimes i just think SUN has an amazing magnitude to love people and i just so want to be like her but then.. it is really not easy at all.

I have been so busy with school, work, wedding preparations that i can hardly breathe... And i feel like blogging today!

Love is amazing. That day i was reading Vanilla's Aug issue anf guess who's on the front cover? --> My dearest SUN Ho! She is simply gorgeous in the red dress.. I read the fine prints! Wow! The red dress is of course branded and it suits her completely! Vanilla's editor said the reason why they chose SUN to be the cover girl is because she is the only Singaporean who fits into all 3 Vanilla themes for August - the National Day issue! Isn't that awesome? At least i feel encouraged that somewhere somehow there is someone in Singapore who appreciates SUN for all that she has done and also recognize her capabilities to earn her place at where she is in the entertainment industry. Thank you, Vanilla!

If you've missed out on the August issue Vanilla 2008, let me share with you! Hee... I'm definitely keeping my issue of Vanilla! Ha! SUN is a power girl! She juggles well among all her commitments! She takes care of her son, Dayan & also attends classes.. Man! SUN's schedule is Wa! A typical day for SUN in New York City is this: Mon to Thu SUN brings Dayan to school and they go to the giant children's playground to play after work. Every week SUN has 2 singing classes, 2 dancing classes & 2 gym sessions, each about 3 hours long! Aren't SUN a super woman? She also has only 24 hours a day like everyone of us but i think i dun do as much as SUN in my 24 hours a day 7 days a week.... I need to work out a better schedule and keep fit too! Not comparable to SUN but heh! I'll try! ha!

Back from HK &Typhoon!

Woah! I just came back last thu from HK holiday trip. Nearly died in the terrible crowd of people bcos Olympics was drawing near & the horribly cold and strong winds from the typhoon! But it's was still a good trip.. At least i'm relaxed and rested! Ready to go all the way! :)

Olympics looks nice..at least the fireworks minus the loooooooooooooooooooooooong intro of everyone else! :) I was just reading Vanilla Aug issue where our beautiful mama - SUN Ho is the cover girl! She's so pretty! And wow! With those labels on SUN, she literally looked like super model! Ha! Go grab a copy today!

I know i am slow and my news cannot make it BUT at least i saw it!!!!

Our dearest SUN Ho is doing great! She recently (maybe not so recent anymore but still...) collaborated with Olivia Newton-John on an album to support the cancer cause. Read on:

May 2, 2008 - It’s not often that someone gets a phone call from the legendary Olivia Newton-John — and especially not to collaborate on a song. But it happened to Singaporean singer Sun Ho.

“She made quite a few calls to me even before we met and was telling me what the song would be like and what she wanted me to do,” said a clearly excited Ho over the phone from her apartment in New York.

The two songbirds worked together on Isn’t it Amazing for cancer-survivor Newton-John’s upcoming Songs of Hope and Inspiration: Olivia and Friends album to raise funds for a cancer support centre and to commemorate her awareness-raising Great Walk to Beijing earlier this month. Other artistes on the album include Keith Urban, Richard Marx, and Cliff Richard.

Ho’s part in the song was recorded in the United States — where she is working on her new album — while Newton-John did her bit in Australia before finally meeting recently to put the final touches to the track at rapper-cum- producer Wyclef Jean’s studio in New York.

“When we finally met at Wyclef’s studio, I actually felt like I already knew her and she was exactly how I expected her to be: Very warm, very real and very pretty, of course,” said the 37-year-old singer. “Having this chance was like a dream come true, you know, to be able to sing with her in a studio.”

Besides hobnobbing with celebrities like Newton-John, Ho was also kept busy after being picked as a “Music Ambassador” for the Beijing Olympic Games this year.

In February, she became the first person to sing the century-old Olympic anthem in Mandarin at the Forbidden City.

But the most of her time is spent on her new album, due early next year, which she is working on with Jean.

One of the songs making a buzz is China Wine — the video of which features Ho shaking her bum in tight shorts and gyrating between two homeboys.

“If people are saying it is sexy, I’ll take that as a compliment,” she said when asked if it wasn’t a bit too revealing for someone who is seen as a role model for youth and is closely associated with a church. Ho is married to Reverend Kong Hee, the founder of the City Harvest Church in Singapore. She also used to be the church’s music director.

She said: “But it was not so much intentional … The whole theme was focused on how to bring out something new with an Asian influence but yet relevant to the American market.”

She also defended the “Geisha” persona she plays in the video where she pretty much comes across as a vindictive ah lian who catches her man cheating. “I was careful about that. Wyclef wanted to use the ‘Geisha’ persona. At this moment, this is what American people know about Asia. Memoirs of a Geisha is big in the US at the moment,” she added.

And it seems to have caught the public’s eye because, at last count, the video had received over 600,000 views on YouTube.

So with things really taking off for her in the States, does this mean we will be seeing less of her here?

“Definitely not! Singapore is my home and my family is there and I really miss home. I miss my mum and dad,” said Ho, adding that the reason she spends most of her time in the US is because of the new album.

“Please tell everybody I love Singapore, and besides my family, I also miss my mee siam and lontong,” said the mother of a three-year-old boy. Ho was last in Singapore in October.

STRESSED~! Lol.... i need my thinking bulb! Been having bridging classes and its exams are drawing sooooooooooooo near! my exams are on 26 jul & 2 aug then the following week is 8 aug! -The Olympics 2008!!! I can feel the vibe! Woah! Can you? :)

I'm hoping to be in Hong Kong on 3 Aug - 7 Aug for a break before i come back to Singapore & rest while Olympics is going on... I need a mental & physical break! Ha! But just as the lazy me hopes for a break... our dearest SUN is working hard for her USA Summer concerts, the China chinese children who have suffered from the loss of parents, etc during the earthquake..., and preparing for Olympics too i think... I can't wait for SUN's USA album to be out! If anyone knows when, pls tell me!!!

I'm so excited! SUN is doing so well! She just had a performance in Vienna last week & it was a great performance!! And i miss her!

Wow! Ha! It's been 4.5 months since i last blogged!! It's been busy FOUR & 1/2 months mugging mugging mugging!

I heard that SUN is into many stuff with Wyclef. I saw this cool advertisement with SUN in it! Wow wow wow! Like, erm... SUN was literaaly transformed from a demure lady into an evil-looking & fierce woman like that of those evil characters in Fantastic Four or something. For a moment, i was taken aback! But then, i'm so glad SUN has broken away from the "guai guai nu" that kinda image. She is an entertainer in the entertainment industry. How she is "made" to be isn't who she really is deep down her.. And, man! that is GOOD! Else, how sad it will be like those entertainers who are pretty "ya ya" in attitude to everyone they meet!

I'm so glad sweetie mommy SUN is progressing! I hope to see more from her! ha! Stay tuned... I'll blog more after i catch up on SUN!

But one thing i know, SUN Ho lovers out there, 08.08.08 is drawing near like in less than 3 months! Let's hope SUN made it into the performance thing that she was doing with Jacky Chan-who eventually didn't make it to turn up at the "audition" i heard! Catch the video on www.heyaosun.com!

SUN Ho ... She is really the pride of Singapore. She is so generous and has such great compassion! SUN built 4 schools in China already! Including the latest one at Henan! So proud of her! She has blessed these less fortunate kids with the opportunity to study and harness their potential!
